We Stay Kidz Forever by Hannah Sherlock
EXHIBITION BRANDING, BRIGHTON U.K.
Identity and application for We Stay Kidz Together, an exhibition by photographer Hannah Sherlock for her recent exhibition in Brighton.
The photography exhibition documents a moment in time between the restrictions being lifted following the pandemic and Hannah's children preparing to leave home for university. The Artist says 'I returned to photography as a form of both storytelling and therapy, to process the impending 'empty nest'.'
The exhibition is extremely emotive with a strong dose of teenage mischief, wonder and nostalgia.
Good Noise designed the exhibition identity, print, and signage elements.
We collaborated with Hannah on the look and feel for the promotional elements for the exhibition. We discussed and reviewed options for the typeface and designs that were all stripped back, minimal and clean that didn’t distract from the images.
Hannah had already created a photobook to accompany the show and we felt the typestyle should be consistent with the design of the book to create an overall unifying identity.
The exhibition is emotive and moving, with a strong dose of teenage mischief, wonder and nostalgia in the mix. The striking portrait of model Gemma in a yellow track suit against a matching backdrop twas the perfect hero image for the show set the tone for the show.
We also created design for business cards, title cards, show invites, Information signage and window vinyls
